Estonian nanotechnology startup UP Catalyst, which specializes in developing carbon materials for electric car batteries, has successfully raised €2.36 million in additional early-stage capital to develop an industrial pilot reactor. The company is pioneering CO2-to-carbon technology to produce high-quality graphite and carbon nanomaterials, aiming to meet the surging global demand for sustainable battery components. This financing round saw equal participation from Warsaw Equity Group, the leading private investment company in Central and Eastern Europe, and SmartCap, the Estonian state fund.
