Viive Kaur advised producer of “The Idiot” on copyright issues
2011 - 10 - 13
Our intellectual property practice group specialist Viive Kaur advised Katrin Kissa, producer of the recently premiered Rainer Sarnet drama “The Idiot”, on contract and copyright matters.
The world premiere of Rainer Sarnet’s “The Idiot” was screened in early October at the A-category film festival in Busan, South Korea, where the film was selected for the competition programme. The Busan festival is considered one of Asia’s most important film events, attracting nearly 200,000 people every year, and highly regarded for premiering potent new talents and movie selections.
“The Idiot”, based on the book by Fyodr Dostoyevsky, is a story of a naive man whose direct behaviour awakens in people feelings of moral unrest, rage and embarrassment over their own pettiness, making them yearn for goodness.
