Riga to Host 9th Baltic FinReg Summit

On 8th April, Riga will host the 9th Baltic FinReg Summit, a top-tier forum for the financial industry that brings together leading experts to discuss current trends and opportunities within the Baltic financial sector.

The summit traditionally features high-level panel discussions among regulators from all three Baltic countries, alongside top industry representatives, addressing the latest supervisory and legislative challenges in an evolving regulatory landscape. Given the increasing geopolitical volatility, this year’s programme will place special emphasis on financial system resilience and issues related to defence financing. Additionally, to explore future opportunities and new perspectives for the financial services industry, we will examine changing financing dynamics and trends, as well as forthcoming innovations in the payment ecosystem.

More than 20 experts will speak at the summit throughout the day, including Uldis Cērps, CEO of the Finance Latvia Association, Santa Purgaile, Deputy Governor of Latvijas Banka, Siim Tammer, Member of the Management Board of Finantsinspektsioon, Denas Jonas Gadeikis, Head of Electronic Money and Payment Institution Supervision at the Bank of Lithuania, Virginija Gecaite, Head of the Baltic States Office at the European Investment Bank, Jakub Wieclaw, Chairman of the Board of Magnetiq Bank, Robert Idelson, CEO of Signet Bank, Vadims Frolovs, Member of the Management Board at Swedbank Latvia, Piotr Jan Pietrzak, New Markets Lead at the European Payment Initiative, among others.
