Recent Developments in Latvian Arbitration Law

On 6 June 2024, the Latvian Parliament passed significant and eagerly anticipated amendments to the Latvian Arbitration Law. The introduced changes reflect numerous internationally recognised standards and best practices, including the introduction of a mechanism for setting aside arbitral awards. Hopefully, the amendments will finally elevate Latvia to the status of a UNCITRAL Model Law country.
