Practica Capital and EIC fund start a partnership with Sentante
2023 - 12 - 21
Sentante has announced the closing of a EUR 6 million seed funding round, led by Practica Capital, with participation of the EIC fund. While this investment underpins EIC’s strong commitment to foster the future of Medtech, it is only the second investment from the Fund so far in Lithuania.
Sentante is currently developing an innovative robotic system which has the potential to revolutionise the way endovascular surgeries are going to be performed in the future. The system aims to digitise and improve the procedure, enabling physicians to work with increased accuracy, precision, and safety.
Practica Capital is an early-stage VC dedicated to backing Baltic founders. The firm has been invested exclusively in tech potential in the Baltic States for the last 10 years. To date, the firm made over 50 investments, including great companies like PVcase, TransferGo, Interactio, Eneba, Ovoko, Trafi, CGtrader, and others.
The European Innovation Council Fund from the European Commission is agnostic: it invests across all technologies and verticals, and all EU countries and countries associated with Horizon Europe. It provides the investment component of the EIC Accelerator blended finance. The European Investment Bank acts as an investment adviser to the EIC Fund.
COBALT represented two investors in this transaction – Practica Venture Capital and the EIC Fund. COBALT Partner Akvilė Bosaitė, Managing Associate Deimantė Pagirienė and Associate Agnė Saliamonė were working on this transaction.
