Senior Associate Maija Tipaine Appointed to the Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre (PMAC) Expert Committee

COBALT is delighted to announce that Maija Tipaine, Senior Associate and Certified Mediator, has been appointed as a member to the Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre (PMAC) Expert Committee. This appointment recognizes Maija’s exceptional qualifications and expertise in both patent disputes and in the field of alternative dispute resolution.
Expert position is exclusive to one expert per country, with only 12 experts selected across Europe to serve a six-year term.
The PMAC Expert Committee plays a crucial role in supporting the PMAC’s operations, including the establishment of the list of qualified arbitrators and mediators and proposing necessary amendments to the PMAC arbitration and mediation rules.
The Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre (PMAC) is an institution established by the Unified Patent Court to facilitate the resolution of patent disputes through mediation and arbitration. It aims to provide efficient and cost-effective alternatives to UPC and traditional litigation at domestic courts.
