National and international policymakers, financial institution representatives, local entrepreneurs, and investment experts will gather to discuss to discuss current developments in the Baltic and European capital markets, the investment climate and their role in economic growth.

The conference will be divided into five panel discussions, which will address a variety of topics and issues, such as whether it is wise for companies to IPO in uncertain times, whether individuals are becoming the new institutional investors, how capital markets can help unlock the growth potential of state and municipal corporations, and an expert view or an outsider’s perspective on the Baltic capital market locally and globally.

“A strong capital market is essential for attracting productive investments to the economy and fostering sustainable growth. Capital markets provide funding for growing companies and opportunities for individuals to build savings and prosperity for the future. The Baltic and Nordic regions have made significant strides in market integration than many other European countries. Nasdaq offers a unified listing for Baltic companies, and the region has a consolidated securities depository servicing Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Iceland. Most importantly, we have successfully created a unified MSCI Baltic Index, enhancing the region’s visibility. We must continue working to ensure more companies, including state and municipal enterprises, take advantage of financing opportunities in the capital markets,” emphasizes Arvils Ašeradens, Minister for Finance of the Republic of Latvia.

“The Baltic capital market has experienced dynamic growth over the past four years, establishing a strong foundation for future development. More local companies have already embarked on their capital market journeys, and many others plan to do so. I am pleased that the significance of the conference grows each year, and it has become an integral part of our region’s financial ecosystem, reflecting the increasing importance of the capital market for the economic development of the Baltic states. This conference fosters valuable discussions that help realize our shared ambitions for capital market development,” highlights Roberts Idelsons, Chairman of the Board at Signet Bank.

The conference is organized by COBALT, Eversheds Sutherland Bitāns, GSK Stockmann, Signet Bank, and Sorainen. Supporting partners include KPMG, LHV, Nasdaq, the Finance Latvia Association, Altum, and media partners Delfi, Dienas Bizness, Investoru Klubs, and Radio SWH.
