International freight transport operator secures compensation without resorting to litigation in dispute with insurance company

A dispute emerged between an insurance company and the client of COBALT, an international freight transport operator, regarding compensation for damage sustained in a road traffic accident in Germany, which was caused by a vehicle registered in Poland.

The damage occurred to property (the tow truck) owned by the client, as well as to assets of the client’s group company (the trailer which was attached to the tow truck) and those of third parties (the cargo transported within the trailer).  Consequently, a dispute emerged between the parties regarding whether the carrier was entitled to compensation for all the damaged property.

COBALT successfully secured full compensation from the insurance company for the full amount claimed for all the damaged property.
