Dace Silava-Tomsone appointed Chair of the COBALT Baltic Board

As of 2 January 2025, Dace Silava-Tomsone, Managing Partner of COBALT Latvia, has been appointed Chairwoman of the COBALT Baltic Board. She succeeds Irmantas Norkus, Managing Partner of COBALT Lithuania, who will continue to serve as a member of the Baltic management team. The other members of the COBALT Baltic Board include Jaanus Mody and Martin Simovart from Estonia, Lauris Liepa from Latvia, and Elijus Burgis from Lithuania.

Under the leadership of Dace Silava-Tomsone, the Board aims to strengthen COBALT’s position in the Baltic legal services market by further developing an integrated legal services offering that aligns with the latest business environment demands. “COBALT brand embodies regional ambition and a commitment to ensuring a unified quality standard of legal services across the Baltic States. Dace has been a part of COBALT’s Latvian office since its inception in 1994 and has served as Managing Partner of Latvia office since 2012. She is locally and internationally recognized M&A, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Construction Law expert. During 30 years of practice she has advised many governmental institutions, local and international companies on major M&A, real estate and investment projects.​ Dace has been an active member of the International Bar Association for over a decade and currently is serving as Vice-Chair of the Project Execution Subcommittee of the IBA International Construction Projects Committee.
