COBALT successfully represented a truck lessor in embezzlement criminal proceedings and the following enforcement procedure. Our client was involved as a victim since he leased a truck to another company, but the truck was embezzled by the company and its board member. Due to the embezzlement of the truck belonging to the client and non-payment of the lease payments, the client suffered a loss of tens of thousands of euros.

Our team represented the client throughout the whole process, and as a result of successful work and cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office and the bailiff, a positive result for our client was achieved. The company and its board member were found guilty of embezzling the client’s truck. In addition, according to the agreement concluded with the Prosecutor’s Office, the company must compensate all of the damage caused and pay the procedural costs. During the enforcement procedure, the embezzled truck was found, sold, and the damage was largely compensated.
