COBALT advises Zeppelin Group on acquiring Baltic Marine Contractors

COBALT, in co-operation with Linklaters’ Munich office, advises Zeppelin Group on acquiring Baltic Marine Contractors, headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, from Pon Group as part of a larger transaction wherein Zeppelin takes over distribution and service of Cat products in Sweden, Denmark and Greenland, as well as distribution and services for MaK engines in the Baltic states, Finland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands.
Zeppelin has been active in the sales and service of Cat construction and mining equipment, as well as Cat and MaK engines, since 1954. Today, the Zeppelin Group operates more than 200 sites around the world and its head office is located in Garching near Munich.
Baltic Marine Contractors is the official dealer and service provider of MaK engines in the Baltic States and in Finland.
Our work comprised advising the client in relation to the transaction, including conducting the legal due diligence and drafting and negotiating the transaction documents.
