COBALT advised UAB Kėdainiai Free Economic Zone (FEZ) on drafting Kormotech establishment and operation agreements. It had been decided to build a pet food plant in UAB Kėdainiai FEZ in order to increase production capacity and provide logistical advantages to customers all over the world. The total amount of all investments is 15 million euro, and the plant is going to create around 60 new jobs.

UAB Kėdainių FEZ is a 130.55 ha industrial development territory with the status of a free economic zone. UAB Kėdainiai FEZ was introduced on March, 2012. The zone has been established for 49 years in order to develop and expand economic-commercial and financial activities. It guarantees exceptional economic and legal conditions.

UAB Kormotech is a family-owned company and one of the leading Ukrainian producers of cat and dog food. The company has two wet and dry pet food plants in the Lviv (Ukraine) region and one plant in Kėdainiai (Lithuania). Kormotech exports its products to 31 countries.

COBALT represented the client in the preparation and coordination of transaction documents and advised on all issues related to the transaction. The project was managed by Managing Associate Aušrys Šliavas.
