COBALT advised SEB and Swedbank in extending a EUR 185 million financing to EUROAPOTHECA group

COBALT, in cooperation with a leading Swedish law firm Setterwalls, advised the two major Scandinavian commercial banks, SEB and Swedbank, on extending EUR 185 million syndicated loan facilities to EUROAPOTHECA pharmacy chain. EUROAPOTHECA is a major international group of companies in the Northern Europe and CEE region managing pharmacy retail chains and wholesale companies in Lithuania, Sweden, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Ukraine. EUROAPOTHECA currently owns more than 660 pharmacies in six countries, employs more than 3.8 thousand employees.
COBALT acted as Baltic legal counsel to the banks and our work comprised preparing the financing and security documents and advising the banks in all matters pertaining to the questions regarding the Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian law.
