COBALT advised on EQT Ventures on leading a 7.9 million dollar investment round on Single.Earth

The law firm COBALT advised on venture capital fund EQT Ventures on leading a € 7.9 million seed investment round on the Single.Earth start-up. Other investors participating in the round were existing investor Icebreaker, Ragnar Sass, and Martin Henk, founders of Pipedrive.

Single.Earth is a 2019 founded start-up, which opens a financial platform for trading with the ecological value of nature. The investment enables them to offer MERIT tokens, which will be the first carbon instruments designed for natural climate solutions.

This was Estonia´s largest early-stage investment and also EQT Ventures first investment in Estonia. EQT Ventures is one of the largest European-origin venture capital funds, which has helped start-ups raise more than € 1.2 billion in capital over its history.
