COBALT advised Embracer Group on the acquisition of Fractured Byte

COBALT advised the largest European game developer Embracer Group on acquiring 100% shares of Fractured Byte.

Embracer Group is the parent company of businesses developing and publishing PC, console, and mobile games for the global games market. With its head office based in Karlstad, Sweden, the group has 81 internal game development studios and more than 8500 employees in more than 40 countries. Fractured Byte is a game development company that was founded in 2018 and has a headquarter in Tallinn and 3 game development studios in Ukraine.

Our work comprised advising the client throughout the transaction, including conducting a legal audit, negotiations, and drafting transaction documents. The COBALT team was led by Senior Associate Madis Reppo and included Partner Martin Simovart and Assistant Lawyer Ken Saksniit.
