COBALT advised EdgeCap Partners on investment in Roofit.solar, a producer of solar metal roofs.
The round of more than 6 million euros was co-lead by German renewable energy investor BayWa r.e. Energy Ventures and EdgeCap Partners and joined by Taavet Sten (investment company of Taavet Hinrikus and Sten Tamkivi), local VC fund Spring Capital and IT company Helmes Investments.
Roofit.solar is an Estonian start-up that produces solar panel integrated roof solutions. Roofit.solar roof panels are looking like a standard non-solar roof, and are easy to install and more durable than standard solar panels.
BayWa r.e. Energy Ventures is the venture capital unit of the BayWa AG group looking for early-stage investment opportunities in the energy market all over Europe and Israel. Frankfurt and Munich listed BayWa AG group operates in more than 50 countries in energy, construction, and agriculture sectors.
