COBALT advised BayWa and EdgeCap Partners on investment in Roofit.Solar

COBALT advised German renewable energy investor BayWa r.e. Energy Ventures and Estonian private equity and venture capital firm EdgeCap Partners as lead investors in the 6.45-million-euro investment round of solar roof producer Roofit.Solar.

Roofit.Solar is an Estonian start-up that produces solar panel integrated roof solutions that enable to produce electricity without changing the appearance of the buildings. Fast growing Roofit.Solar will use the financing to increase production capabilities, invest in product development, and expand into foreign markets.

BayWa r.e. Energy Ventures is an independent venture capital unit of the BayWa group looking for investment opportunities in the energy market all over Europe. EdgeCap Partners is a private equity and venture capital investment firm backed by long-term family capital. The founders of EdgeCap Partners are Kristjan Piilmann and Chris Backes.
