COBALT advised Aviva on the sale of its shareholding in Aviva Poland and Lithuania to Allianz

COBALT has assisted Aviva on potentially one of the largest deals in the region in 2021: the sale of its entire shareholding in Aviva Poland, with the Lithuanian subsidiary, to Allianz, the largest insurance company in Europe, with the value of €2.7 billion. We are providing local advice on transactional and regulatory matters in respect of the Lithuanian subsidiary of Aviva Poland.

The team is led by partner Juozas Rimas, partner Akvilė Bosaitė and managing associate Deimantė Pagirienė. It is expected that the closing of the transaction may take place within 12 months.
