Akvilė Bosaitė is a Partner co-heading the Banking & Finance Practice Group and leading the Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) team at COBALT Lithuania. She has extensive experience in Banking & Finance and Emerging Companies & Venture Capital. Akvilė is recognised as a Market Leader by IFLR1000, ranked among Leading Individuals by The Legal 500, and positioned in Band 2 by Chambers Europe.

Financial Regulatory

Akvilė advises on financial services regulation, licensing, and compliance matters. She assists market participants in obtaining and maintaining licences, including those for crypto-asset service providers under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR), electronic money institutions, payment service providers, consumer credit providers, and other regulated entities.

Her expertise also covers alternative investment fund manager (AIFM) licensing, fund formation under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD), fund structuring, prospectus preparation, and regulatory approval processes. Akvilė also advises fintech companies on regulatory strategy and product development.

Financing Transactions

Akvilė advises on domestic and cross-border financing transactions, including project finance, asset-based lending, structured credit facilities, loan portfolio transactions, and sustainable and infrastructure financing projects. She also advises on mergers and acquisitions involving regulated financial institutions and has extensive experience in aviation law, aviation finance, and aircraft leasing.

Venture Capital & Emerging Companies

Akvilė leads the Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) team, advising investors, growth-stage companies, and founders through all stages of equity financing, from seed and early-stage funding rounds to Series C and beyond, as well as on fund formations and portfolio company exits.

As one of the pioneers of venture capital and growth equity legal practice in Lithuania, Akvilė has advised on more than 200 investment rounds and exits. She guides venture capital and growth equity funds through the full investment lifecycle, from fund structuring and capital raising to portfolio investments and successful exits, and actively contributes to the development of Lithuania’s startup and venture capital ecosystem.
