Alise is part of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practice group, specializing in navigating the complex sustainability landscape as well as business and human rights matters.
She supports the team in their work on various ESG tasks. These include integrating sustainability considerations into companies’ policies, contracts and processes, and developing tailored approaches to understanding and addressing sustainability impacts, risks and opportunities. Her approach incorporates best practices from the practical implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, OECD Due Diligence Guidance, and other leading responsible business conduct frameworks. Ultimately, her work helps clients fulfil their obligations under ESRS, CSRD, CSDDD and other EU laws and meet the expectations of business partners and various other stakeholders.
Alise also has significant experience in intellectual property law matters. She is a Latvian and European Trademark and Design Attorney licensed to represent clients before the Latvian Patent Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
