Girts Lejins, COBALT partner and head of the Corporate Advisory practice group, has been elected to serve as the member of the Services Committee of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) for the 2015-2018 term.
The Services Committee of LCCI is responsible for nine industry areas - real estate, transport and communications, education and research, tourism, recreation and sports, information technology, energy, finance and insurance, health and social care, counselling.
LCCI is a non-governmental, voluntary, politically independent organisation uniting micro, small, medium and large-sized companies from all regions and economic sectors of Latvia. Based on the number of its members, LCCI is the largest non-governmental organisation of businessmen that speaks on behalf of 1270 leading Latvian companies, 59 industry associations, six cities host clubs and 14 other business associations. The organization is committed to create a favourable business environment, represent economic interests of Latvia’s enterprises and offer business promotion services. LCCI represents business interests through a dialogue with national and local governments and participates in the drafting of commercial legislation in Latvia. LCCI works in three main areas - business environment, competitiveness of the companies and export. LCCI was established in 1934.
