COBALT Estonia senior associate Heleri Tammiste served as panelist at the annual event of Harvard Law School Association of Europe, held in Zurich, Switzerland during 17 – 20 May 2012. Topics addressed at this year’s meeting revolved around relationship between Switzerland and the EU, position of small countries in the EU, and the future of the Eurozone. The speakers included, among others, António Leitão Amaro (member of Portuguese Parliament), Luc Frieden (Minister of Finances of Luxemburg), law professors from Basel and Zürich universities, as well as specialist lawyers from Brussels and Switzerland. In her presentation, which was very well received by the demanding audience, Heleri shared her views on Estonia’s experience with EU membership.
Harvard Law School Association of Europe is an organisation of Harvard Law School alumni residing in Europe or taking interest in Europe. Heleri Tammiste (LL.M. 2009) is currently one of two active members of the Estonian Bar Association holding a master’s degree from Harvard Law School.
