In the summer of 2013, the Board of the Estonian Bar Association decided to establish committees for active development of legislation and legal practice in three branches of law: family law, business law and fundamental rights.
Members of the newly formed 8-member Business Law Committee, including also COBALT senior associate Heleri Tammiste, were appointed by 1 October 2013 resolution of the Board of the Bar Association.
The purpose of the Business Law Committee is to assist and advise the bodies of the Bar Association, as well as individual members of the Bar Association, in matters relating to legislation and legal practice in the areas of business law, competition law and bankruptcy law, to analyze the relevant legislation and legal practice, and to prepare amendment proposals.
Heleri holds an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School and has practiced business law in law firms for more than 8 years. She joined COBALT Estonia in 2011.
