COBALT junior associate Kristjan Kotkas participated as an arbitrator in the Pre-Moot of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot

COBALT Estonia junior associate Kristjan Kotkas participated as an arbitrator in the Helsinki Pre-Moot of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

The prestigious Willem C. Vis Moot, where Kristjan participated in 2011 representing University of Tartu, is the largest commercial moot court competition in the world and held annually in Vienna, where teams from over 250 universities compete in simulated arbitration proceedings under international commercial and arbitration laws.

The Helsinki Pre-Moot is one of a number of sessions taking place around Europe and North America where teams can practice their arguments before the main competition in Vienna. This year’s Helsinki Pre-Moot took place 9-10 March and saw teams representing universities from all over Scandinavia, Germany, Estonia, Russia and from as far as Japan.
