Mehiläinen, Finland’s largest provider of social and healthcare services, has acquired the Lithuanian private medical services network, InMedica Group. The sale was agreed upon by the private equity fund INVL Baltic Sea Growth Fund, the healthcare services and pharmaceutical manufacturing group AB City, and the private company Litgaja.
The transaction is subject to approval by the competition authorities. Mehiläinen operates as a private provider of social and healthcare services in Finland, Sweden, Germany, and Estonia, with over 840 locations and 2.1 million customers. The company is committed to investing in digitalisation, as well as enhancing the efficiency and quality of healthcare across all its business areas.
