COBALT advises on acquisition of Air Maintenance Estonia
2010 - 02 - 25
Partner Peeter Kutman, also acting also as Head of our Transactions practice, and senior associate Kristel Raidla advised BaltCap, the leading private equity and venture capital investor in the Baltics, on its acquisition of 100% shares in Air Maintenance Estonia (AME), which was owned by Scandinavian Airlines (SAS).
Air Maintenance Estonia is the leading service provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). BaltCap’s ownership of the company should offer AME available resources for achieving its strategic targets and to double production capacity in upcoming years.
We assisted the client in carrying out legal due diligence on the target company, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and obtaining merger clearance from the Estonian Competition Authority. LMH’s previous expertise in the aviation field supported successful closure of the transaction.
