COBALT advised the software company Reach-U (former name Regio) on division

COBALT advised the software company Reach-U (former business name Regio) upon division. In the course of the division, the company engaging in creation of map solutions and publishing was sold and it will continue to operate under the brand Regio after the sale. AS Reach-U will continue as a creator of software solutions for mobile communications, energy, so-called „smart city“, security and other sectors.

• Reach-U – a legally old company that operated under the business name Regio until last year, is a software company and creates solutions in the areas of mobile communications, energy, forestry, security, smart cities, tourism and transportation. It sells its solutions via Ericsson in 34 countries all over the world. The clients of the company include 25 mobile operators on four continents.

• Regio – a company with an old and well-known name and trade mark, but is legally new, publishes maps, and collects, processes and visualises geographical information. Map solutions are executed in co-operation with Reach-U and several other software developers.

COBALT advised the client upon preparation of transaction documents, negotiations and closing of the transaction, including both general transactional as well as the company’s sector-specific intellectual property issues.
