COBALT advised venture capital funds Change Ventures and Crosslight Partners on investment in Gelatex

COBALT advised venture capital funds Change Ventures and Crosslight Partners on investment in Estonian high-tech material production startup Gelatex. The 1.2-million-dollar round was led by Change Ventures and Crosslight Partners.

Change Ventures is one of the largest venture capital funds in the Baltics that specialises in early-stage investments. Crosslight Partners is a venture capital fund that primarily invests in sustainable startups in the Nordics and European markets.

Gelatex is a five-year-old company that produces sheets made from nanofibrous materials which enable to grow meat cells in laboratory conditions. Thanks to the high-tech material it is possible to cut the production costs of cultured meat by up to 90%.
