COBALT advised Avena Nordic Grain on selling its grain trade business to Scandagra Group

COBALT advised Avena Nordic Grain on the sale of its Estonian and Lithuanian grain trade businesses to Scandagra Group.

Avena Nordic Grain is a subsidiary of Apetit Group. Apetit is a food industry company firmly rooted in Finnish primary production. Apetit Plc’s shares are listed on Nasdaq Helsinki. Scandagra Group is a leading agriculture company in the Baltic countries.

According to Apetit CEO, Esa Mäki, the arrangement will significantly improve Grain Trade´s business. It is also in line with their previously announced strategy of the company.

COBALT advised Avena on Estonian and Lithuanian law matters with respect to the transaction documents.
The team included Partners Peeter Kutman and Karina Paatsi, Specialist Counsel Jesse Kivisaari, Senior Associate Heleri Tammiste in Estonia, and Partner Dr. Juozas Rimas, Managing Associate Jovita Valatkaitė and Senior Associate Žygintas Voronavicius in Lithuania.
